The World.

Inspired by the final card of the tarot arcana, The World. represents the completion of a cycle and the passage into a new state of consciousness. The work reflects a transformation achieved through the dissolution of the ego. A surrender that allows reconnection with something more essential, instinctive, and infinite.

At the centre of the painting is the tension and harmony between adulthood and essence: technical mastery and emotional truth, structure and vulnerability, the constructed self and the inner child that remains untouched beneath it. Through symbolic imagery, layered textures, and an altar-like composition, the piece explores what happens when identity is no longer performed, but integrated.

Rather than portraying an ending, The World exists as a threshold. The moment after becoming, where fragmentation gives way to wholeness.
