César Sánchez Huertas is a Spanish-Australian artist living and working in Melbourne.

Drawing and painting have been part of his life since childhood. Over the years, he has explored different techniques, including pencil, watercolour and oil painting. This journey has also shaped his sources of inspiration and the way he approaches art.

His curiosity about understanding the world led him to build a career in science, where he found a constant source of questions, learning and discovery. This experience has shaped the way he thinks, observes and understands the world, as well as the way he creates.

His current practice combines observation, imagination and symbolism. It is grounded in a realist approach and uses light, shadows, objects and composition to explore ideas around identity, change and meaning.
